Récits de vie minoritaires et modèles de résistance}, url={//revues.univ-lemans.fr/index.php/publije/article/view/69}, abstractNote={
My Own Words. Growing up inside the Sanctuary of My Imagination (1994) de la Portoricaine-
Américaine Nicholasa Mohr, Always Running, La Vida Loca : Gangs Days in L.A.

Writing a memoir while asserting a minority position means speaking about one’s condition, but also—often—presenting one’s trajectory as exemplary. To analyze the construction of oneself as a model, three texts by "Hispanic" writers will be examined: In My Own Words. Growing up inside the Sanctuary of My Imagination (1994) by the Porto Rican-American Nicholasa Mohr, Always Running, La Vida Loca: Gangs Days in L.A. (1994) by Luis J. Rodríguez and Burro Genius, A Memoir (2004) by Victor Villaseñor, both Mexicans-Americans. Particular attention will be paid to the way in which these texts succeed in gripping the adolescent reader by playing, on the one hand, on the identification process and, on the other hand, on a major proof effect: the publication of the book, a fact that shows the victory of these writers on a certain social determinism.
}, number={1}, journal={Publije}, author={Pinçonnat, Crystel}, year={2018}, month={avr.} }
